
TV host and media entrepreneur, Wendy Williams’s son fears for her life as she is currently in a treatment center amid her battle with alcohol abuse.
Williams, who is also battling Gravesâ disease, previously hid her battle with alcohol abuse. She recently dropped out of a speaking engagement at the Atlanta Womenâs Expo in May and was caught drinking at Fresco by Scotto and then The Townhouse in March â a few months after leaving rehab.
âWendy is at a facility doing her best to be her best,â her manager, Will Selby, told Entertainment Tonight
Selby told the website that he feels like people put out ânegative informationâ about Williams, 58, without ever asking about how she is really doing.
âWhy donât we just stop for a moment and just say, âHey, how is she? Is she doing OK today?’â he added. âWhy is that not the focus? Why isnât that what weâre talking about on a daily basis?â

Selbyâs comments come a day after the former âWendy Williams Showâ hostâs son, Kevin Hunter Jr., shared his concerns for his motherâs declining health.

Kelvin Hunter Jr, 22, said that Williamsâ body does not process liquor at the same ârateâ that a ânormalâ personâs body would.
âWeâve spoken about it. Iâve said, âThis is one thing where you donât know how to approach it normally, and thatâs fine,â and itâs gotten to a point where, yes, it could have that effect that it might be fatal because it affects her way worse than a normal person since it stays in her system,â he explained.
